Frequently asked questions
What does GlobalEdico do?
GlobalEdico is an academic editing company that provides English language editing, proofreading, copyediting, substantive editing and translation for research papers, theses, dissertations, grant proposals and books. Editors are PhD and MD subject experts, and every document is checked by a language editor, a senior editor and a chief editor.
How much does English editing cost?
Standard English editing starts at US$3.15 per 250 words (4–12 days) and Express starts at US$5.25 per 250 words (24–72 hours). Proofreading starts at US$1.25 and translation at US$8 per 250 words. The minimum charge is US$14.50, and volume discounts of up to 12% apply. Use the price calculator for an instant estimate.
How fast can you edit my manuscript?
Express editing returns documents within 24, 48 or 72 hours. Standard editing takes 4–12 days depending on length. A typical 20-page manuscript takes 2–3 days.
Will my paper be accepted after editing?
No editing company can guarantee acceptance, because journals judge the science as well as the language. What we guarantee is the language: if your paper is returned for poor English after our edit, we re-edit it free until it meets the required standard, or refund you in full.
Is my manuscript kept confidential?
Yes. All editors sign a non-disclosure agreement, files are transferred over SSL, and backup copies are deleted within a week of returning the final document.
